Hiking Safety: make sure to bring plenty of water, trail
maps, wear the appropriate hiking gear and check weather conditions. All wilderness areas have potential hazards such
as mountain lions, rattlesnakes, poision oak, poison insects. Please see more wilderness saftey tips on our Safety Page.
Wildlife found in the Malibu Creek area include
southern pacific rattlesnakes, steelhead trout, the southwestern pond turtle, Arroyo toad, Pacific tree frog, American goldfinches,
song sparrows, coyotes, deer and mountain lions.
